Lazawab zeera aloo recipe
a basic recipe for zeera aloo, a popular Indian dish made with potatoes and cumin seeds:
Ingredients:
- 4 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and diced into cubes
- 2 tablespoons oil (preferably mustard oil for authentic flavor)
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds (zeera)
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- Salt to taste

Now the process
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pan or kadhai over medium heat. Once hot, add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add the diced potatoes to the pan and stir to coat them with the cumin seeds and oil.
- Sprinkle turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder over the potatoes. Stir well to evenly coat the potatoes with the spices.
- Cook the potatoes on medium-low heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until they are tender and cooked through. This should take about 15-20 minutes.
